This department is responsible for recruitment, training, compensation, workers compensation and risk management administration. Annually, Human Resources conducts approximately 25 recruitments for full and part-time positions, reviews more than 1500 applications, and processes between 200 and 350 Personnel Action Forms. Human Resources also manages employee training and development programs; administers the City's position classification, compensation, and benefits system; oversees equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs; ensures compliance with Federal and State mandates; and administers the workers' compensation, and health insurance plans.
