Get ready to celebrate Independence Day the Horsetown USA way! Mark your calendar and check out the star spangled schedule that’s packed with old-fashioned, FREE family fun on July 4, 2021!

Mayor’s Equestrian Trail Ride and Costume Contest

Ingalls Event Center – Parking Lot 2 (Corner of Sixth Street and Crestview Drive)

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the ride departs at 9:30 a.m.

Dress up in red, white and blue, and be ready to ride with pride! Prizes will be awarded to the most patriotic horse and rider! Helmets are required for riders under the age of 18. Please note, there may be a shallow river crossing.

Patriotic Picnic in the Park

Pikes Peak Park (97 Sixth Street)

11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Bring your chairs and blankets, and enjoy live music featuring the Ramsey Street Band, crafts and contests for the whole family, including a horseshoe tournament, cake walk, picnic games and the annual bike/trike parade and decorating contest! Prizes will be awarded to the most patriotic participants.

While attendees may bring their own picnic snacks, the Norco Lions Club will have BBQ and refreshments available for purchase.

No alcohol or BBQs are allowed. Ice chests are subject to search. Pets must be on a leash.
