Bio Security Guidelines
At the request of City Council in May 2017 staff developed an advisory group made up of Council members, Staff members of California Department of Food and Agriculture, CDFA Livestock staff and City of Norco employees.
The first goal for the group was to develop policy for the creation of a comprehensive biosecurity policy that will define operational procedures and set preventative measures to avoid the transmission of infectious diseases. The second goal was the creation of Community Outreach hand-outs for biosecurity for Equine and Poultry that residents could use in the event of need and who to contact if their property was affected. These handouts will give the community ways to substantially reduce their risk of spreading disease with their own livestock at home on the farm, or at a stable. The Biosecurity policy and procedures including Equine and Poultry handouts were approved in November of 2017
Equine vaccinations recommend by our local equine veterinarians.
Please be prepared to show your current equine vaccinations while attending events at the George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center.
