Building & Safety Division

Welcome to the City of Norco’s Building and Safety Division. The Building and Safety Division is responsible for the development and enforcement of minimum standards for the safeguarding of life, health, property and public welfare through the regulation of the design, construction, maintenance and use of the buildings and structures in the City. Additionally, the Division is responsible for the enforcement of city, state and federal regulations as applicable to construction projects within the City's jurisdiction and for the coordination of approvals from other departments and agencies relative to permitted construction.

Building & Safety’s function, although essentially a regulatory effort, is an important tool in the orderly development and maintenance of properties within the City. One of the most important facets of our function is the interaction with the building public in a manner, which expedites development without compromising the standards of the City. In order to achieve the objective, the Building & Safety Division works closely with the other City departments.

The City of Norco’s Building and Safety Division is dedicated to providing our citizens with courteous, efficient and cost effective services. This dedication incorporates the goal of improving the quality of life and orderly economic development by the provision and management of plan review and building inspection within the integrated Public Works Department activities.
