Citizen On Patrol

The City of Norco & The Riverside County Sheriff's Department Invite You to Become a Citizen on Patrol. Norco Citizens Patrol is a team of trained volunteers who enhance crime prevention services and community awareness through proactive law enforcement practices.

Citizen Patrol members do not take enforcement action, carry weapons or make arrests. Suspicious activity is reported to the Sheriff's Department's Dispatch Center.

Qualifications Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Good moral character
  • Good driving record
  • No felony convictions
  • US Citizen
  • Wear approved uniform
  • Attend monthly Citizen Patrol Meetings
  • Two patrol members per vehicle
  • Volunteer 16 hours per month
  • Appear professional at all times
  • Pass Citizen Patrol Training
  • Pass background check
  • Have medical and vehicle insurance
  • Have a valid California Drivers License
