The Parks and Recreation Commission reviews and makes recommendations regarding the conduct of the business and affairs of the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and on matters involving the City’s Parks and Recreation system. The Commission also studies and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding the construction, purchase, lease or other acquisition of all improvements and lands, including installation of improvements and appropriate uses, which it deems necessary for the operation of the City’s Parks and Recreation programs.
