Free Holiday LED Light Exchange & Energy Efficiency Kit Giveaway Events Offered

The Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG), through its Western Riverside Energy Partnership, will be hosting its fourth annual Holiday LED Light Exchange and Energy Efficiency Kit Giveaway at five community events across Western Riverside County in December 2017.

The light exchange and giveaways will occur at various community events in the Cities of Hemet, Jurupa Valley, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, and Moreno Valley, but residents from anywhere in Southern California Edison (SCE) service territory are encouraged to attend and exchange their old, inefficient, incandescent holiday lights for energy efficient LED equivalents, at no cost!  In addition to this exchange, residents will also be eligible to receive a free Energy Efficiency Kit from SoCal Gas that contains a low flow showerhead and three faucet aerators.

Only 200 holiday light exchanges and 50 Energy Efficiency kits will be distributed at each event, so join us early!  Each participant can exchange up to two strands.

Participation is easy:

For Holiday Lights, you simply need to bring:

1) no more than two strands of functioning, incandescent lights, with 50 bulbs or more;

2) a copy of your SCE monthly bill (or proof of electronic payment); and

3) a license or picture identification matching the customer name on the SCE bill.

For Energy Efficiency Kits, you simply need to bring:

1) a copy of your SoCal Gas monthly bill (or proof of electronic payment); and

2) a license or picture identification matching the customer name on the SoCal Gas bill.
