Spring is here and summer is quickly approaching! Check out the Parks and Recreation Department’s full seasonal line-up of fun and exciting activities, programs and special events fit for the entire family!

Youth Summer Basketball: Calling all basketball enthusiasts! You don’t want to miss the summer season! Youth Summer Basketball registration is underway and ends on April 26 for PeeWee, Instructional, and Boys/Girls A, B and C Divisions. Summer Kidz Camp: It is never too early to plan for summer! Register now for Summer Kidz Camp! This 10-week recreational program is designed for kids 5-12 years old and is filled with weekly activities, fun projects and field trips for children to enjoy while on summer break. Summer Kidz Camp is available 7 a.m. – 6 p.m on Mondays-Fridays from June 4-August 10, and is held at the Norco Scout House (3939 Cedar Avenue). Tiny Tot Olympics: Calling all superstars, ages 2-5 years old! Join us at the Tiny Tot Olympics on Saturday, May 19, at Norco Community Center Park (3939 Cedar Avenue in Norco). This one-day event offers the opportunity for young children to participate in obstacles and games fit for tots. Each participant will receive a Tiny Tot Olympics t-shirt at check-in, and, at the end of the group’s event, participants will receive a medal, snack and a bottle of water. Early registration, which is $10 per child, will be accepted at the Parks and Recreation Department at City Hall through May 11. Participants are also able to register for $15 on the day of the event, however only credit/debit cards will be accepted. Astronomy Night in Norco: Join the Riverside Astronomical Society and learn about the wonders of the night sky at Astronomy Night on Tuesday, May 22, at the George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center (Gate 1) from 8 – 9:30 p.m. This event is free to the public, and all attendees will have the opportunity to look through a telescope and experience what astronomy has to offer, including Earth’s only natural satellite, the Moon, as well as Jupiter and various constellations. Summer Concerts in the Park: Mark your calendars! Concerts in the Park return to Pikes Peak Park (97 Sixth Street) from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on the following Friday nights this summer: June 8, June 22, July 6, July 20, August 3, and August 10!
