Participate in the City’s Upcoming Budget Workshops

 

Norco residents are invited to attend two upcoming public City Council Budget Workshops regarding the Draft Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The Budget Workshops are an opportunity for the City Council and residents to preview the preliminary Operating Budget and CIP plan for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, and provide comments and suggestions before the budget is adopted in June 2018. The City Council will also receive the public’s input, as residents will be able to share their thoughts about the City’s budget priorities.

The first Budget Workshop, the Draft Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Operating Budget, will be presented on Wednesday, May 2, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, located at 2820 Clark Avenue in Norco. The presentation will include an overview of revenues and expenditures for the General Fund, Water Fund, Sewer Fund and Gas Tax Fund.

The second Budget Workshop, the Draft Five-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for FY 2019-23, will be presented on Wednesday, May 16, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, located at 2820 Clark Avenue in Norco. The CIP includes proposed projects associated with streets, water, sewer, storm drains, and trails for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, as well as suggested projects through 2023.

If you cannot attend either Budget Workshop, you may submit your comments electronically to citycouncil@ci.norco.ca.us, or you may hand-deliver or mail your comments to the City Clerk’s Office at Norco City Hall, located at 2870 Clark Avenue in Norco.
