The objective of this traffic enforcement operation was to provide a safe environment for all pedestrian, equestrian, and vehicular traffic entering the school zones and to reduce the number of traffic collisions occurring within the City of Norco.

These locations were chosen based on traffic collision data and numerous complaints received from concerned motorists and residents regarding the hazardous driving actions and continual parking violations occurring around the schools.

Operation results:

  • 28 citations were issued for speed violations.
  • 3 citations were issued for stop sign violations.
  • 2 citations were issued for cell phone violations.
  • 1 citation was issued for vehicle registration violation.

This traffic enforcement operation was funded by the City of Norco as part of the ongoing effort to reduce traffic collisions and promote a safe environment for all pedestrians, equestrians and motorists traveling within the City. The Norco Sheriff’s Office plans to conduct additional traffic enforcement operations in the future.
