Press Release: Suspects Arrested in Attempted Armed Robbery of a Norco Business
NORCO, CA-On Saturday, September 8, 2018, deputies from the Norco Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery that occurred at a business located in the 1500 block of Fourth Street in Norco.
On September 17, 2018, the Jurupa Valley Station Investigations Bureau was contacted by the Riverside County Probation Department regarding the potential identity and location of the suspect in this case. Acting on this information, members of the Jurupa Valley Station Investigations Bureau and Special Enforcement Team (SET), responded to the City of Corona, where they were able to contact the suspect, Marvin Sloan King, age 40, a Corona resident, and take him into custody.
As the investigation continued, investigators identified a second suspect in this case as Islam Omar Mousa, age 26, a Corona resident. Mousa was located at his Corona residence and taken into custody. The mask and replica firearm utilized in the commission of the crime was also located and recovered as evidence.
Both King and Mousa were arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention center for attempted robbery and violation of probation.
