Southern California Edison Notifies Customers of Public Safety Power Shutoffs
Due to the projected strong Santa Ana winds and some potential for fire activity, Southern California Edison (SCE) has activated its Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) protocol in the City of Norco. The activation notice will remain in effect from 10 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018, to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
Please note, no power has been shut off at this time in Norco, however there may be outages strictly related to weather and high winds, unrelated to a power shutoff.
SCE recognizes this is the holiday season and tonight is New Year’s Eve, however their priority is to protect public safety, as well as the integrity of the system serving customers.
Customers may report or inquire about outages by calling SCE directly at (800) 611-1911. For information on outages, customers are encouraged to visit www.sce.com/outages.
