Norco Sheriff's Office Reports Decrease in Fireworks on New Year's Eve

Over the last several years, City Staff and the Norco Sheriff’s Office have taken a proactive approach to decrease the number of complaints related to discharging firearms, fireworks, and loud/unruly parties during the holiday season, including New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July. This has been a collaborative effort with the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department, Animal Control Services and Code Enforcement, which have been instrumental with assistance during the special enforcement operations. This year, the data reflect Norco’s community outreach, public educational and additional enforcement efforts are yielding positive results, as reports significantly decreased on New Year's Eve.
