Council Member Kevin Bash Appointed to Serve on League of California Cities’ Community Services Policy Committee
Council Member Kevin Bash has been appointed to the League of California Cities’ Community Services Policy Committee. This committee has the lead responsibility for making recommendations to the League Board of Directors regarding policy positions on State issues related to childcare, parks and recreation, libraries, cultural arts and community and human services programs. The appointment was announced by League President Jan Arbuckle, who is a Council Member in Grass Valley.
As a Committee Member, Council Member Bash will play a key role in shaping the League’s policy positions on issues facing California cities while advocating for cities at the State Capitol.
“It is vital to the preservation of Norco’s lifestyle that Council Members serve on, not only local committees, but on committees that directly access representation in Sacramento,” said Council Member Bash. “We must position ourselves at the table so that our voices can be heard.”
The leadership of the 2019 Community Services Policy Committee also consists of Chair Larry Moody, who is a Council Member in East Palo Alto, and Vice Chair Oley Olsen, who is a Council Member in Avalon.
