Generating Revenue Dollar-by-Dollar
You may have noticed the former Walgreens building at 475 Hidden Valley Parkway—the space has been vacant for about two years—is being transformed into a new Dollar Tree store, the chain’s second store in Norco. The rapidly expanding chain is completing its tenant improvements and is expected to open within the next 30-60 days. Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company based in Virginia and its stores carry a wide range of deeply discounted products including health and beauty products, seasonal décor, housewares, toys, gifts, and pet supplies, as well as dairy products and packaged foods.
Filling this vacant space greatly enhances the shopping center in which it is located and provides a convenience to neighborhood residents. In addition, it validates Norco as a desirable place to conduct business by national credit tenants. Individual items at Dollar Tree may be steeply discounted, but these stores nonetheless generate significant sales and Norco’s second Dollar Tree will provide meaningful sales tax revenue for the City. Look for the opening of the new Dollar Tree store!
