Party Pardners Program Relaunches and Recruits Volunteers
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is recruiting volunteers to assist with Party Pardners, which will relaunch at the Rose M. Eldridge Senior Center on Friday, July 12, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join us and help out as we celebrate the reestablishment of the program with nights of music and fun!
Party Pardners is a program for developmentally challenged adults, 18 and older, dedicated to fostering human development through a variety of social interactions and opportunities to learn and reinforce social skills. The recreational activities planned in this wholesome environment help to develop and reinforce motor skills and, most importantly, build self-esteem in participants who face various challenges, including cerebral palsy, autism, congenital heart defects, seizures, deafness, blindness and diminished mental functioning. Through these activities, Party Pardners helps eliminate social barriers while creating independence, dignity, self-worth and respect. The City of Norco is proud to offer this program as participants rely on the friendships they have made and serve as an inspiration to the human spirit.
Party Pardners meets on the second and fourth Friday of every month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rose M. Eldridge Senior Center. For more information on volunteering, please contact the Department Parks, Recreation and Community Services at (951) 270-5632 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
