Update on the River Road Bridge On February 19, 2010, southbound River Road traffic will be shifted to the new bridge alignment. Northbound traffic will remain on the existing River Road alignment. The purpose of the traffic switch is to allow the construction of the northern tie-in at the Archibald/Kendra intersection. Work will begin on February 22, 2010 and be completed within 10 working days. Please expect minimal traffic delays during this interim traffic switch. Once the work on the tie-in at the Archilbald/Kendra intersection is complete, all traffic, northbound and southbound, will be moved to the new bridge. The old bridge will be then be demolished and the remainder of the construction on the new bridge will continue to be completed.
