Beginning on Thursday, June 26, a street rehabilitation project will begin on Second Street that will extend from Hamner Avenue to River Road. The project is funded by Measure R and will include new asphalt and curbing improvements. During construction, Second Street will be open to traffic, however work will be completed in sections, resulting in partial road closures that will require detours around the closed area. Full road closures may also be required for certain sections of the road. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
